Pauline Martin,
comedian
“Having been
born near the river at Trois-Pistoles, and having grown up near the
Sagunenay River, water is essential to my body and soul. I love and respect
it. Vital to us all, it is nonetheless menaced by those who recognize
neither its preciousness nor its precariousness. Never will I accept this
public good to be subject to the interests of a select few. No matter how
powerful its chutes, how agitated its river, and how calm its lakes, I will
fight for it to remain free.
